Extreme couponing
I cut coupons! I like saving money, then Jemahl made me watch a show on EXTREME couponing. So I am trying. My first purchase of extrem couponing....I had a coupon saving $5 on a MEGA BLOK toy. So while grocery shopping we stopped in the toy aisles and I found a Dora the Explorer Pirate MEGA BLOK toy. The price $4.94! Yay, me! Yep, I got .06 cents off of my groceries.
Woohoo can't wait for a $175 grocery bill that will come out to be just $10. You will all hear when that happens!
Here are some pics of the girls playing with their FREE toy and enjoying it too!

Big smiles, behind sous!
I turn my back....
I turn my back for just 1 minute....I grab Kaitlin, Sarah's and my jackets from the closet and come back to this. I had some cooked speghetti in the fridge and Sarah got a hold of it. When Kaitlin said to Sarah "oh your hungry Sarah" it didn't even come to my attention that a mess was occuring just feet away from me. Of course I grabbed the camera!

What to do?
Mom to mom. What do you do when your at your wits end with your child(ren).
Some moms use internet sites (Facebook, babyfit whatever it may be), some may use tv ( talk shows, soaps) and some probably use food (salty chips and that 2lb chocolate bar hidden away in the pantry or under the mattress...heehee).
Well what do I do? I drink...Haha, bet you all didn't know that. And to tame your worries my drink of choice is WATER.
So when Kaitlin and Sarah are whining at me, clingy and just plain miserable I can be seen with a BIG glass in my hand guzzling a cold glass of water....usually from my New Moon cup (hello.... you all didn't know I am a Twimom!?!) And when possible a good little chat with my mom, water in hand does me a world of good....oh and getting out of the house too.
Yeah, I love the internet but rarely use it when the girls are up, day time tv doesn't interest me that much...and yes I have hidden a 2lb chocolate bar in the pantry and sneak some chips from time to time, but somehow sipping some water takes the edge of the day off.

Sunday ALONE time with Kaitlin
I have been missing my Kaitlin time lately. So Kaitlin and I are going to try to have some special alone time together on sundays.
Kaitlin LOVES grocery shopping lately and is such a BIG helper. Taking things from the shelf (that are actually on the list)and putting them into the cart. Or picking out fruit/vegis and putting them into a bag and then putting them into the cart. YES, my little helper. Of course a cookie from the bakery helps too!
So today I buckled Kaitlin up (gotta mention that I took a purse and not a diaper bag...that's something I haven't done in a LONG time) and we went grocery shopping. And then a special trip to TIM HORTON'S. Yum, yum!
LOVE this one with the "donut" stuck on her teeth!
Testing, testing!
My beloved Olympus camera has sadly taken it's last picture. Even after several attempts to fix it with some tape and super glue (by Jemahl), but that did not go over so well. I have spent more then several weekend naps driving around and looking for the perfect camera for me. Yesterday, I bought a Canon PowerShot. Although I wasn't sure at first I am happy to say I am enjoying my new camera. Here are some of the test shots......This morning
I prepared some fruit for Sarah this morning for breakfast. Blackberries, blueberries and raspberries (her favs). I usually pull the high chair away from the wall....well today I forgot. Tsk, tsk. I make some toast and a minute laster turn around to see the wall being a art canvas. So, I finish preparing breakfast, call Kaitlin to the table and we all sit down to eat. Kaitlin see's the "art" work of Sarah's and runs to the living room to grab a wipe and continues to clean up Sarah's mess.....all while I sit at the table and eat my breakfast. NICE!

Cooking in the kitchen
Jemahl and I gave Kaitlin and Sarah a BIG girl kitchen for Christmas. Kaitlin LOVED it right away. Sarah likes playing with it too, but was a little disappointed she didn't get to play with her old kitchen.
Since then the BIG girl kitchen has been the most popular toy in the basement. Kaitlin loves to cook Sarah and me (or anyone who is over at our house) some supper. We then have to sit at the table to eat. She enjoys cooking hot dogs, chicken legs, french fries and animal soup.
Sarah loves copying her sis sis and wil walk over to the sink to wash her hands. As well as wiping down the table and counter with a cloth. I think it is just so cute!

For all of you who are missing my girls. Here's just a normal day in our house. Sarah is walking and busy, busy, busy and Kaitlin...what can I say. She just goes and goes like the ENERGIZER bunny!

It's been rough
It's been a rough few weeks. Sarah has decided to let all four of us NOT sleep. She has been waking up 3 - 7 times a night for the last...well since we got sick over christmas.
Poor Sarah has also had a cough and has been congested. She is irritable, fussy, clingy and not her usuall self. I tookher into see our family doctor and was told to bring her back if she still had a cough in a week. Over the weekend she caught a fever so I took her into the Urgent care. She is now on antibiotics and still is not her 100% self.
I somehow get by on little sleep. Jemahl and Kaitlin don't do as well. Over the last few days though I think it has really hit me. Im doing fine with the sleep, and still get all the daily tasks complete, kids safe and all of us fed. I even find time to play with the girls and have a few moments to myself. However, this no sleeping thing is waring on me. I am losing patience, frustrated and really not my normal self. The one phrase that has been running through my mind is "I should be locked up." I feel like a horrible mother and feel I am neglecting Jemahl, yet to everyone looking on I seem "put together (??)".
I know this is just a phase and soon we will all be sleeping and feel rested, but I sure do wish this could pass quickly. Elizabeth Pantley's No cry sleep solution is being put to use to help us through this "phase."
Wow, could I be any more honest. Even through this rough time we have good moments and SMILES.
