All in a row

Kaitlin comes to me all out of breath with this gleam in her eye "Look what I did!" This time it was that good kind of gleam. She had been running up and down the stairs gathering every single stuffed, beloved animal in the house and had them all lined up on the couch.
She then found her sticker number book/colouring book and gave everyone a sticker for there good work.
I just love how a toddler plays. Kaitlin is full of imagination these days. It's such a beautiful thing to see.

Happy times

As you have read in a previous post Sarah is teething and is a mess most days, but even in those rough times we have HAPPY moments. I cherish those times. One tooth has finally poked through and I feel another one coming. Only 6 more to come and Sarah will have a full set of baby teeth!

Zebra ride

Sarah received this ride on zebra toy last year for christmas. It is a 3 step toy....A ride on that you sit on, a walker and a scooter. With Breanna and Brock coming in the mornings now an old toy has become like new again. Most mornings and after school the 3 girls and Brock will take turns riding on Mr. Zebra. Some morning school bus drop offs or after school pick ups this lucky toy is seen driving, walked or scooted up and down our street.

Kaitlin has just recently started to use the scooter and is getting really good on it. I think she's almost ready for a big girl scooter (with a helmet off course). Little miss Sarah is quite amusing on it also and a tad bit of a dare devil.

I sit here typing, Mr.Zebra is sitting happily in his corner smiling at me. He feels loved, maybe a bit used, but loved all the same and maybe even REAL, just like in The Velveteen rabbit.

JUMP

Mommy tell God, Thank you for the trampoline God. Kaitlin and Sarah have so much fun jumping on the trampoline. After having the trampoline (or as our little neighbor says the jumpaline) for almost a year they are getting very good on it. I don't know what Im gonna do when winter comes.

Just Kaitlin and me

When Kaitlin is in school on tuesdays and thursdays I get to have a couple hours of just mommy and Sarah time. Sadly on other days Sarah more often then not needs my attention, household chores beckon me and daily things pile up that I need to get done. I know that Kaitlin thrives on one on one attention so a couple weekends ago the 2 of us took a trip to Heritage Park! It was such a good Kiki and mommy day! And boy we did alot. We got ride passes. Went on the boat ride, a fast spinney ride, the carasole, a little ferris wheel and a boat swing ride. We got candy (overpriced) from the candy store, ate a greasy lunch together, saw trains and horses. Like I said we were busy.
I just love my little Kaitlin so much. I have some very difficult moments with her and yes she can make me blow up, but she really is the sweetest girl. She loves the extra attention. Her whole attitude changes when we are happily engaged, playing with each other and doing something that she enjoys. Kaitlin is so independent (except when she doesn't want to be...and yes she has that at times) that she keeps herself busy playing and I keep myself busy too. I need to remind myself to slow down and just be with Kaitlin. A little train...to bad we missed the ride. At least we got to climb in and sit down for some pictures.

Eating candy...it's the "Im eating candy", sugar high smile!
Kaitlin goes on the mini ferris wheel all on her ownWay up there...it scares me a little. Not because she's up high or anything, that my 1st baby is really growing up. Im not ready for her to grow up.The look in her eye says, what's that? Processing something

Princess zoo day

Every princess has a furry friend. These cute wolves were Kaitlin and Sarah's little pal!So excited about the wolves

We were cordially invited to the zoo 2 saturdays ago for Princess day! I dressed the girls up in their best princess wear and we walked around the zoo. We started in the Canadian Wilds which we usually don't do, but it set the scene for some great pictures. When we walked through the owl/hawk exhibit it was feeding time (as you could plainly see on the tree stumps)well I was mistaken for a little yellow chick. Yep, a big birdie swooped down on me landing on my head and then taking off as quick as it happened. The wolves were friendly and the girls did not want to leave them. We fed the ducky's and they were braver then brave getting just inches from our toes.

We stopped for lunch and then went over to the Princess celebration area the zoo set up to play games and jump in a jumping castle. We even had our hair done by Beaners with braids, sparkles and beads. Must say the girls were pretty as Princesses. Cinderella even handed us a ticket for free ice cream just for wearing our pretty princess cloths.

Such a great trip to the zoo!

Indoor picnic

I took the girls for an indoor picnic with Aunty Jan (my sister). We met up in her office. She works as an ultrasound tech. We spread out a blanket and ate our lunch right there on the floor. Then of course they had to test out the bed in her room. Up and down. Up and down and a chair ride made for 2.
Wheeee!Tickles too!

Driving

Sarah driving. Kaitlin driving. YIKES...everyone get off the road. As soon as we get anywhere near the car the Sarah says "dive". So I had to get a few pictures of my distracted driver(s). They would diffently be ticketed, but they sure do look cute in the front seat.

Galaxy land

Little Kiki is being squashed behind Jemahl. We didn't leave her out on the train ride.
It is NOT easy taking a picture of a almost 2 year old and a 3 1/2 year old....oops I should say 3. I cheat a little and say Kaitlin just turning 3 so she can get in for free. Is that so bad?
This was actually Kaitlin's first ride of the day. She was a little nervous, but loved it!

After walking through the train show we drove to West Edmonton mall for some rides at the amusement park right in the mall. We all went on some rides. The girls had a blast! And it was great to have Kaitlin and Sarah Granny join us.
