Treats

Treats....okay yeah I give my kids treats, but you know what they eat their fruits and vegetables really well so why can't I spoil them and give them some treats. I don't overdo it. Anyways, now Sarah knows just where the treats are kept in the pantry. As you see in this picture she is looking up, up to all the treats. If I don't give her one the tantrum starts. Oh boy!

Cookie bakin and decoratin

While Sarah was napping last week Kaitlin and I mixed together some sugar cookies. When Sarah woke up I pulled out the icing and added some food colouring and we started decorating. The girls had a blast painting our yummy cookies and even eating them too.

This one is a little blurry but I love it! Sarah is concentrating so hard on her cookie.
And.....the finish product! Yummy!

Pretty eyes

I looked @ Kaitlin on this day and her eyes were so gorgeous. Just had to take a picture of my pretty girl so you all could see.

Home made pizza

For christmas I was given a bread maker. Although I haven't used it as much as I had wanted I do have fun with it. This past week I brought it out and mixed up some fresh homemade pizza crust. Then the girls and I "decorated it" with sauce ham, pineapples, mushrooms, pepperoni and lots of cheese. It was good! Hmmm and yum and the girls had a blast doing it!

Crafts and more crafts

What's a mom to do with so many crafts. I love them ALL, even just the little scribbles. The pantry was getting full of these special crafts and I just had to do something. So, make a post about....and another one, and another one. So I can always have the crafts!

On the cob

Sarah's first time eating corn right of the cob. I cut some of for her and she got MAD. When I gave her the whole thing she was happy as a lark and did really good at eating almost half the corn.

Hangin at home with my girls

Playing @ Grandma's and Grandpa's

Boo, mommy!Little hands making musicRiding the horsey
Visiting Grandma and Grandpa's house doesn't acually happen as often as it should, but when we do get out the girls have a blast and the food is ALWAYS delicious!

Big girl, big seat!

That baby carrier sure did get good use. But we can say good bye to it (for now....I'd love to bring it back out in a few years). Sarah is now forward facing and enjoying it. She loves watching the cars and especially trains and playing with Kaitlin. Her first experience was filled with BIG smiles and lots of laughs.

How an 18 months mind works

Hmmm, what can I do with this....... Peek boooo! I am so funny!
Yeah, Im cute and Im in a garbage can.
Hahaha...Im funny! Again.
Now Im stuck....HELP meee.

Come in to my mind

For days now I have been thinking about how I can be a good role model for Kaitlin and Sarah. Sadly, I feel like I am failing at this. A mother never feels like what she is doing is enough. I feel as if I am the one causing problems. I know I am a good mother, but am I perfect?
I am the best mom for Kaitlin and Sarah but I know I need to work on things that will make me an even greater mother. My thing is right now I don't know how to change these things.
How do I set a good example for my children when I am yelling at them and saying don't yell at me or when I say share with your sister and I don't share my snack. Do I whine too much and that's where Kaitlin hears it and why she does it? How can I be a good role model for Kaitlin and Sarah?
Every night at prayer time with the girls I say help mommy to be a good role model to Kaitlin and Sarah. I hope God is hearing my prayer and will soon send me an answer.

Viva Las Vegas

In celebration of our (Jemahl and me) upcoming 5th Anniversary August 12th....(what?!? Time sure does speed by) we left the girls in Granny and Papa's and Great Aunties hands and boarded a plane headed for Vegas.
For me this was the very 1st time away from Kaitlin and Sarah for longer then 12 hours. Other then being away from Kaitlin while having Sarah. So was I looking forward to it? You bet. It was awesome being just the 2 of us. When you become parents it's really hard to look back at times before you had kids.
You know how your significant other can sometimes just get under your skin and little issues arise? Well, this trip away was nothing like that. Today, Jemahl was even surprised that we didn't bicker and has said almost every day since getting back 10 days ago that we need to go back. He has even found a really cheap room and a seat sale...and tonight when I asked what he wanted for his birthday and father's day he said go to Vegas.

Our home away from home..... Mandalay Bay!This next picture is taken in the M & M store which was a whooping 4 large floors. With a theatre showing a movie in 3D featuring red and yellow!
Heading out for the night!

Taking a break from the heat....ahh to 32 degrees. And ahh to air conditioning while walking through Mandalay Bays Shark Reef.

I loved these creepy little Jelly fish. They were so graceful and gentle looking.
Du, du, du , du, duu! Here comes the shark. Argggh!
Jemahl touched the sting ray...and I tried but totally chickened out.
What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas....but really it came back with us!

Little tid bit....The new Bacherelette is now on tv and last week she took the guys to Vegas. One of these dates was at Mandalay Bay so it was neat seeing where we were on a reality tv show doing the same things as they did on a date!
