Butterfield Acres

Today we spent the day at Butterfield Acres. Our first stop was the bunny rabbits. Kaitlin had a blast running around the bunny cage trying to catch the bunnies. She even climbed into the little bunny hut and (oops)got stuck. It was acually pretty cute, but she didn't love it.

We also got an up close visit with some lambs, who loved Sarah. They were smelling her, licking her toes and her hands. We also saw some baby ducks with their mommy, Emus and goats!

It was alot of fun! Of course we couldn't leave without a stop at the BIG sandbox and the park. Oh and I just have to add I LOVE how the close p shots of Kaitlin and Sarah turned out....such cuteness!

Playdate time

We are blessed to have great neighbors right across the street who are similar in age to Kaitlin and Sarah. Every now and then we get together for playdates. Here are some pictures of our most recent get together. As you can tell Kaitlin had alot of fun (and it was great for me and Sarah also). She loves her "Chi", as she calls him (Malachi...I hope I got the spelling right....sorry Renee if Im wrong) she was ready to go over the mintue she woke up!

Official birth announcements

In hopes that my family and friends do check this blog out I have officially addressed and stamped the announcements of Sarah's birth. I knew I would be busy, but I never thought it would take 8 months to get the announcements out. I would like to apologize. I type this with the taste of envelope glue in my mouth, paper cuts on my tongue and my feet almost out the door dropping them of in the mailbox. Anyways Im sorry for such a long delay in receiving them.

Im a BIG girl now!

On July 8th Kaitlin started a new big girl milestone...peeing in the potty. The day started like any other, but without diapers. I feared it for so long and to my pleasant surprise potty training clicked with Kaitlin. Just one accident the first day...second day a little accident and then she ran to the potty to pee some more...oh and she's pooing in the potty too and is on a sugar high half the day (lol...okay not really).

Another fear of potty training I had was back sliding. Although we have only been at it for a week I feared putting a diaper on her and going out. But again to my surprise the second we walk in the door she is running for the potty and pulling of her diaper. She even insists on going pee while we are out. We are saving big time on diapers and the garbage man must be enjoying us a little more too.

I am so proud of Kaitlin and I can tell that she is too!

Pretty hair day

Pretty hair day...doesn't happen very often and it usually doesn't last long, but Kaitlin and Sarah let me do their hair one day last week so I had to snap a few pictures of this rare occurance.

Yahoo....Stampede!

Jemahl and I took Kaitlin and Sarah to the stampede on the 11th of July for some good ol' stampeding. We wanted to partake in the pancake breakfast, but after being in line for 25 minutes and not moving at all we dicided to skip out.

The day was not ruined...we got a yummy cinnamin bun (as you can tell from Kaitlin's face she REALLY enjoyed it!), went on some rides, saw Lolo (from a children's singing group Bobs and Lolo), saw Thomas the train and ate some more midway food! It was a GREAT family day out!

Bath time fun!

Every night I fill up the tub for both Kaitlin and Sarah. Sarah is sitting on her own and I may be biased but she looks adorable in the tub...and out of the tub. She is a water baby...loves bath time.

Kaitlin is going through a rough phase in the tub. For a week straight she screamed the whole time she was in the tub. For awhile I even had to join her, but now she is okay if...and I say IF she is standing in the tub.
