First snow

November 31st, 2011! Our first snowfall. It was so pretty. Now for someone who's not looking forward to a long Canadian winter this little snowfall was an excuse to get outside and make a snowman. The first one of the season actually fell apart...so meet snowman #2 of the season. Kaitlin was a BIG help and even rolled 2 whole giant balls by herself. By the time we had the 2nd man up the yard was almost empty of snow.

Trick or Treat

This year for Halloween I had a cupcake (Tinkerbell for school) and a Dora. I think Kaitlin makes the yummiest cupcake and Sarah is adorable as her favorite character. Just before the girls head out with Jemahl I got a few pictures and they just happened to hug each other. They were both just thrilled to go out for treats! My Little Cupcake and do - do Dora do - do
Off they go with daddy
The girls came back to dump out their goodies, had some lick licks and out they went again, this time with me. After a few houses Sarah went inside for what sounds like a buffet of treats with daddy and just Kaitlin and I went out.
The END results...a pantry full of candy and a sugar high.

Story time Halloween edition

Wednesdays are story time days! We take a short drive to Crossfield's library for some stories, crafts and the occasional snack. Last wednesday was a special one. A come dressed up in your party, do the monster mash and get treats party.
Kaitlin went as Tinkerbell and Sarah her favorite Dora! They were too cute! We arrived a little early and got some finger plays and dancing in with the teacher.
The girls listened to some spooky and funny stories, marched around the room showing off just how cute they were and then made a spider edible craft. Halloween fun!

Monster lips

A fun little snack that I made this Halloween! We call them monster lips.... apple slices (red delicious works better) smeared in peanut butter or nutella with mini marshmallows. FUN!

Hair days

Clips in the hair. Gorgeous!

My artists

As the weather gets colder the craft drawer is being used more. Just a few days ago I spent $42 on craft supplies at the $ store. The girls are loving it! Kaitlin and Sarah keep busy gluing, snipping, scribbling and painting. I think they are ARTISTS!

Playing mommy

Sarah is all about dolls. She loves playing mommy. As I type this the phrase "Ring and ling..." comes to my mind. So much like me when I was little. One of my favorite things about being a mom is watching Kaitlin and Sarah play and seeing them learn and discover new things. Sarah is so caring, so loving. One day she will make an amazing mommy.

Mommies jeans

Bath time usually means pajama time for me. One night just before we got in the tub Kaitlin snatched my jeans and put them on. I had to take a few pictures of her in mommies jeans. Pardon the messy face....it was bath time. She thought she was so funny!
